Huxley College Riparian Ecology Lab

My research focuses on the ecology of rivers and riparian forests. I am especially interested in processes linking terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and the ways in which those processes respond to and recover from anthropogenic stress. A recurring theme in my work is the interconnectedness and interdependence of rivers and their surrounding watersheds, and the need for management and restoration strategies to recognize these linkages.
