Invertebrate biology teaches students about the form and function of major animal phyla. Invertebrates are members of every animal phyla (about 36). In contrast, vertebrates only represent part of a single phylum! If you are interested in animal diversity, this is the class for you. The class surveys the major animal phyla, and the basic functions for life in each group. Students learn with a combination of lectures and laboratory excersices.
