Marine Ecology teaches students about marine communities with an emphasis on the important processes that structure these diverse communities. The class is unique because students experience marine communities first hand through many laboratory and field excersices. To allow for the necessary time and class structure, the class is taught each spring at the Shannon Point Marine Center in Anacortes, and meets on Thursdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. During each class meeting students participate in lectures, discussions, and field and laboratory excersices.
