Classical Ballet Club

The Classical Ballet Club is an Associated Students club that is dedicated to developing appreciation of classical ballet at WWU and the surrounding area, including the promotion of participation in classical ballets performed at WWU and the communities serviced by WWU. Ballet dancers are especially encouraged to join, although all those who love classical ballet are welcome. The Classical Ballet Club seeks to foster a culture at WWU that is knowledgeable and appreciative of classical ballet. Its activities include the screening of films on ballet, scheduling lectures by prominent dancers and choreographers, organizing and promoting ballets at WWU, alerting WWU students to opportunities to participate in classical ballets, as well as arranging field trips to attend ballets in Bellingham, Mt. Vernon, and Seattle.
Students interested in joining the Classical Ballet Club may contact the Faculty Adviser Christopher Wise at Christopher.Wise@wwu.edu or Julie McCorkle at dancingjewels11@gmail.com.
