| Objectives |
- to familiarize you with field techniques used to capture fish for management purposes;
- to teach you how to collect relevant information from fish and interpret that information;
- to familiarize you with the common sportfishes of Washington;

- sight identification of 38 species of adult common sport fishes;
- identification, description, and application of sampling gear;
- collection of information from fish samples for interpretation;
- data interpretation techniques;
- three lab reports: population estimation; population assessment; and age and growth;
- participation in discussion of weekly reading assignments;
- enthusiastic participation in field and laboratory exercises;
