Introduction

This class provides a one credit opportunity to participate in the Environmental Studies departmental speaker series and Huxley College speaker series.  We will attend talks on Fridays at 3:00 pm.  The class will be held in AH 30 unless otherwise noted.  Please check this webpage for clarifications or changes in location.

Assignments
Attendance will be taken, and will constitute 50% of the grade.  For the other 50% of the grade students will be responsible for a set of two short reaction papers. 

 

Paper #1: Students are responsible for one brief reaction paper in which they synopsize and respond to one or two of the speakers. This paper should be at least 2 pages, double spaced, 12 point times new roman font, with no more than 1 inch margins. Paper #1 is to be turned in by 3:00 PM at class on November 7th.

 

Paper #2:  For this assignment students must reference information or content from at least three speakers. Once again the paper should be at least 2 pages, double spaced, 12 point times new roman font, with no more than 1 inch margins. Paper #2 must be turned in to Dr. Medler's Mail box by 3:00 PM December 8th.
